We are currently seeking a bookkeeper to join our team in our expanding practice. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop their skill set and play an integral part in supporting the growth of the business.



  • Preferable but not essential AAT
  • Working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts software
  • 3 or more years experience in the role of a bookkeeper or accounts assistant

Brief Role Description

    • Managing the accounts receivable and payable function
    • Maintaining the nominal ledger accounts
    • Performing bank reconciliations
    • The preparation and submission of VAT returns including completion of VAT reconciliations
    • The preparation of periodic reports (management accounts)
    • Liaising with clients to ensure all information is gathered and queries are resolved in an appropriate timely manner
    • Supporting the team leader to ensure all deadlines are met and relevant information is made available to Directors for client meetings
    • Assisting junior members of staff as and when necessary

Key Skills Required

  • Experience of processing from core records using Sage 50 Accounts
  • Good accuracy whilst maintaining efficiency on work completion
  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • An enthusiastic, personable and proactive approach
  • Organisation and the ability to meet deadlines
  • A willingness to learn new skills as systems and needs develop
